the initial whistle till the full time, Gareth Southgate's Side had ridiculous amount of control and
dominance over the game and Iran and the result was as expected, England just thrashed Iran for
a 6-2 goals dominating win after not getting any wins in the last 6 games prior to their Group B

match Senegal even without Sadio Mane have managed to put on a show against the Dutch as
both teams were putting up near about the same amount of pressure on the opponents in search
of goals until PSV star Cody Gakpo got on the end of a cross from Frenkie de Jong in the final five minutes, as the Dutch midfielder beat a charging Edouard Mendy to the ball to head home for the Netherlands.

NEXT MATCH PREVIEW (4 MATCHES)
In this segment we are going to have a match preview of the 4 upcoming matches.
FIRST GAME - ARGENTINA Vs SAUDI ARABIA
The opening clash of group C takes place between Argentina and Saudi Arabia at the Lusail
Iconic stadium, Lusail, Qatar.
Argentina head into the World Cup with the aim of adding global glory to their Copa America crown, but head coach Lionel Scaloni is all too aware of the challenges awaiting his side in Qatar – starting with first opponents Saudi Arabia.
La Albiceleste ended a 28-year wait for major silverware by beating Brazil in the 2021 Copa America final, making this the first World Cup they enter as champions of their continent since the 1994 World Cup.
Argentina will fancy themselves to go all the way this time around with a motivated group led by Lionel Messi in what is set to be his final World Cup.
On the other hand Saudi Arabia would be facing a hard time keeping possession against higher- ranked teams in their group. Hence, they’ll be looking for clinical finishing from striker Saleh Al- Sheri in the final third, especially from counterattack situations. The Al-Hilal man has finished top of the AFC qualifying round scoring charts for his country, a clear standout amongst his teammates.
SECOND GAME - DENMARK Vs TUNISIA
When they meet on Tuesday at Al Rayyan, the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia and the Red and Whites of Denmark will begin their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign. With a nearly perfect record in the qualifiers, the Danes qualified for Qatar. They won their first nine games and only conceded three goals during the qualification campaign to comfortably lead Group F with 27 points from 10 games.
Meanwhile, Tunisia, who have been absent from the tournament for a long time, will not have it easy. They face a difficult challenge, but their current form says otherwise, with one loss in their last nine matches, Tunisia are here for the business and will be mentally prepared to create issues for the Danes.
THIRD GAME - MEXICO Vs POLAND
El Tri will look to kick off their eighth consecutive World Cup campaign with a victory as Mexico vs Poland opens Group C play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday. The Mexicans have made it out of their group for the last seven world cups they’ve qualified for, and they hope this World Cup is no different.
Despite being much maligned publicly over the last few months, Mexico will still get a clean slate and an opportunity with their first match against Poland. Poland will be looking for a chance at the round of 16 as well. The last time they made the knockouts was in Mexico in 1986. They have only qualified for the World Cup three times since.
FOURTH GAME - FRANCE Vs AUSTRALIA
France will start their World Cup journey as they take on Australia in a Group D encounter at the Al Janoub Stadium.
Defending champions France will be aiming to start the World Cup on a perfect note as they are scheduled to face Australia on Tuesday. Two completely different kinds of teams will battle from two different kinds of perspectives.
Les Bleus ended their barren run in the last edition where they triumphed by getting the better of Croatia in the 2018 World Cup final. It will be definitive for the current holders to have a smooth transition from their recent performance which also includes a defeat against Denmark, a country which happens to be their main thorn as the French side will be aiming to top their group.
Didier Deschamps has been dealing with multiple issues starting from off-field rumours to multiple injury issues and a statement win against Australia would keep the focus away for the time being.
The memories of the 2002 World Cup are still fresh as the then-defending champions crashed out of the competition without registering a single win and they will not want to repeat that feat.
Australia are into their fourth World Cup finals and would be hoping to better their performances this term as they had three group stage exits in their tally. Following a gruesome qualifying campaign, the Socceroos will muster all of their resources to ensure their stay gets a bit longer this time.
On the back of five consecutive victories, the Aussies will definitely feel confident against the World champions but their record against the reigning World champions won’t offer them much inspiration.
Their sole win against the French came in the Confederation Cup 2001 edition but Graham Arnold’s side holds all the cards to be the next surprise element.
As there is lots of action in stock for the millions of football fans around the world all the above mentioned team will battle for supremacy. On this note signing off for today. Tomorrow the blog will be back with the highlights of the above mentioned matches and preview of the next day matches. Thanks for reading.
