Ecuador
VS Senegal
Ecuador took on Senegal at the Khalifa International Stadium
on Tuesday for their final group stage world cup match. While Ecuador just
needed a draw for advancing towards the round of 16 first time after 2006,
Senegal needed a win to break the barrier for the first time after 2002 where
they reached the Quarter Finals. The whole stadium was full of the Roar of
those Senegalese drums which inspired their tem even more. From the first
minute of the match Senegal were in the attacking mode and managed to push
Ecuador team at their own half by rigorous attacks at the goal and in the 41st
minute Senegal were awarded a penalty which was confidently converted into a
goal by Ismaila Sarr in the 44th minute. But there was some more
drama in stock and it started when in the 67th minute Moises Caicedo
converted a corner kick to a goal and kept Ecuador alive in the match but the
celebrations only lasted for 3 minutes as the Senegal captain scored a blinder
from a set piece in the 69th minute and the drums went more crazy as
they just had to stick to their lead for making it to the Grand stage and they
just did that and when the final whistle blew players of both the teams were on
their knees at the ground but difference between them was regret and joy.
Netherlands
VS Qatar
Netherlands were up against hosts Qatar at the Al Bayt
Stadium on Tuesday where Netherlands were high on confidence because of being
unbeaten in their last 15 world cup group matches but host team seemed to have
nothing to offer. The match started with a Qatari attack on the Dutch goal but
was defended with ease by the Goalkeeper but in the 26th minute Cody
Gakpo converted an attack into a goal to score in three consecutive matches and
the Dutch were leading. Qatar tried to fight back through a few attacks but in
the 49th minute Frankie De Jong Scored a 2nd goal to put
the Dutch in the driving seat of the bus towards round of sixteen which didn’t
had any tickets for the hosts and they turned to be the worst hosts ever of
FIFA World Cup as they were not even able to score a single point before
getting knocked out.
Iran
VS USA
Iran and USA met at the Al thumama Stadium on Tuesday for
their final fixture of Group B and the final shot to reach the knockouts. Iran
needed a draw but USA needed a win to move ahead. USA straight away represented
their desperation from the 1st minute as they started lined attacks
on the Iranian goal and just in the 38th minute the top player of
the USA line up Christian Pulisic showed his class and scored the only goal of
the match which was enough to take them home but had a hip injury during the
process and didn’t came out for the second half. Later it was reported that he
was taken to a local hospital for abdominal injury. But USA with that win were
booked in a top 16 clash with Netherlands on Saturday.
Wales VS England
At the Ahmad Bin Ali stadium on Tuesday Gareth Southgate’s
England were up against Wales and were ready to qualify for the top 16. The
whole first half was seemed to be played at the Wales half were the English
players were in full on attack. And finally in the 50th min Marcus
Rashford took a marvellous free kick from just outside the box to score the
first one and just in the next minute, Kane extended a wonderful cross in the
Wales penalty area and on the other end was Phil Foden who guided the ball towards
the goal at ease. In the 68th minute Marcus Rashford scored a solo
goal to seal the 3-0 victory to lead group B and book a clash with Senegal in
the knockouts.

Tunisia
VS France
On Wednesday, Tunisia will square off against France at the Education City Stadium in their third and final group-stage game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Having already confirmed a place in the last 16, France will be looking to top the group. The African nation sits bottom of the standings and must overcome the reigning champions to stand any chance of making it through to the knockout stages.Things are much dicier for Tunisia. The north Africans have to win to stay alive in the tournament, this appears to be a herculean task for a team that is yet to score a goal in the competition and will get second if the match between Australia and Denmark ends in a draw.
Australia
VS Denmark
In their last clash of group match of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Australia and Denmark will likely decide who will advance next after France from Group D. Australia are currently at the second spot in the group and can advance with just a point. Denmark, on the other hand, hasn’t tasted a win in the tournament yet, and only a win can make it through.Australia won their last clash against Tunisia which has pushed them to a strong position going into the match against Denmark. They are real threats on counters and can expose Denmark’s shaky defence.
Argentina
VS Poland
Argentina responded and prevailed against Mexico after struggling in the first half of the FIFA World Cup 2022 group stage game, but there is always light at the end of the tunnel when you have Messi. Mexico’s strong defensive line made it difficult for Argentina to break through, but a moment from Messi restored optimism, and replacement Enzo Fernandez added a fantastic goal as Argentina garnered the three points. Saudi Arabia might have qualified for the knockout stage with a win, but Poland was more highly motivated and won with two goals. Poland was decent overall and was cut open several times, but Szczesny’s penalty save preserved Poland in the game, and they now face Argentina, which will decide their progression to the next round.
Saudi
Arabia VS Mexico
The Group C of the FIFA World Cup 2022 is set for some great matches in the final round of the group stages. Any team can qualify, be it Argentina, Poland, Saudi Arabia or Mexico. As of the current standings, Poland stands first in the table with four points. Argentina and Saudi Arabia are just behind them with three points each. Mexico, on the other hand, have underperformed and are at the bottom with one point. Nonetheless, Mexico’s chances of qualification also rely on the outcome of Argentina vs Poland. Saudi Arabia pulled off the biggest upset in the FIFA World Cup 2022 beating Argentina. However, after that, Saudi Arabia failed to perform consistently, dropping points against Poland.
